Mechanical breakdown insurance

We include in the sale price a 6 months Customer Protect Essential Nationwide Warranty. You can extend this policy for an additional 6 months at a cost of £250. This can be used at any VAT registered garage. The policy includes mechanical failure only of certain parts and labour cover up to £1,000 per claim - unlimited mileage and amount of claims.

PLEASE NOTE

We do our very best to provide warranties for all vehicles. However, there are a few exceptions that we cannot provide cover for. They include any vehicle that has been modified i.e remapped, suspension lowered etc or used for off-roading/hill climbing and within a hire or reward business including: taxis, driving schools and rental vehicles.

Wear and tear

When buying a used car you must consider “fair wear and tear”. Fair wear and tear occurs when normal usage causes acceptable deterioration to a vehicle. You can measure this against the price of your car when it was brand new. A used car is a part worn device. It is not as good as new - this is why it is vastly cheaper. We ask our customers to be reasonable with their expectations. If something goes wrong with your car and it is outside of the warranty term, it may still be worth getting in touch as we have specialist repairers who support us. If you are unsure regarding any aspect of your purchase please do not hesitate to ask us. We are here to help.

Wear and tear items

Turbo, air conditioning compressor unit, water pump, timing chains, starter motor, alternator, steering rack, coil springs, gearbox, clutch, dual-mass flywheel, torque converter, differential, drive shafts, exhaust systems, catalytic converters, DPF filters, EGR valves, fuel pump, abs pump, electronic control unit, head gasket, wheel bearings.

Consumable items

Battery, tyres, shock absorbers, brake pads/discs, glow plugs, fuel injectors, sensors, ignition coil pack, bulbs, wiper blades, auxiliary belts, a/c gas only under the event of the a/c mechanically failing, engine oil, bushes and gaiters etc.

Terms and Conditions - Warranty Claims

If you contract a third party to return the car to us you will be liable for the cost. We do not supply courtesy cars under any circumstances. You are advised that membership of a reputable Motoring Organisation for as little as £1-2 a week is recommended for peace of mind. See: breakdowncovercomparison.co.uk

If you have a Customer Protect Essential Nationwide Warranty policy with your car and you encounter problems you must contact the warranty company straight away, i.e depending on the issue, check the repair/part is covered in your policy leaflet.
